Our Background

We formed this firm to focus on providing a premium and tailored representation for each of our clients. Our firm will maintain a high quality, low volume practice. Collectively, we have over 20 years of experience practicing law.

Dan Sabol started his career with the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office. He took
advantage of the opportunity it presented for a young and ambitious trial attorney and gave the office and his clients an exceptional two years of service. Since then, he has been in private practice and earned the respect and recognition of attorneys and legal organizations nationwide.

Chase Mallory began his legal career with a boutique litigation firm with offices in Ohio and Florida. He gravitated toward the white collar criminal defense practice while at the firm and ultimately joined another leading central Ohio criminal defense firm to devote 100% of his practice to criminal and OVI defense.

In 2018, we formed this firm to create an environment where we deliver a premier defense to each of our clients.

What It’s Like Working With Us

Consultation

Our first meeting will likely be over the phone and each of our clients are given our personal cell phone numbers. During our consultation, we will first learn who you are and listen to your story. We will then explain your legal rights, possible defenses, possible solutions, and what to expect at each stage of the case. We typically charge a flat fee for our representation, so you will never be surprised by hourly billings.

During the course of representation

As the case progresses, we encourage you to join us in our office to review discovery together. We believe that our role is to provide you both advice and options, but it is ultimately your case and it is important you are well informed in order to make the ultimate decisions.

In OVI cases, we are typically provided a cruiser video. It is extremely beneficial to have you watch the video with us so that we can give you our analysis of the evidentiary issues. It’s equally important to have your input to be able to describe things the video doesn’t show your perspective, anxiety, etc.

At each stage of the case (arraignment, pretrials, motion hearings, and trial), we will explain our strategy so that you understand how we are working to your ultimate goal.

Counseling

We maintain a comprehensive referral list for Driver Intervention Programs, substance abuse assessments, intensive outpatient programs, inpatient programs, anti-theft programs, anger management, and general counseling. If applicable, we can discuss your options and make the appropriate recommendations.

Expert Opinions

If you have employment concerns relating to your charge or potential employment consequences of a conviction, we understand that this is a high priority. We will review your employment agreement, handbook, or other relevant information pertaining to your employment with you. When appropriate, we can bring in an employment lawyer for consultation purposes.

Expert witnesses can be extremely helpful and have multiple uses. We have a great network of expert witnesses in various areas. Whether it’s a private polygraph, a pharmacology expert report/testimony, or whatever the situation calls for, we will discuss your options and give our recommendations on our preferred experts.

After the case

When your case comes to a close, we remain accessible to you. You may have questions on an employment application, college application, or professional board disclosures regarding your arrest/charge and we are happy to assist you. Also, we encourage you to explore your options of sealing the record of your arrest/charge with us.
